The Small package I've been waiting for finally arrived. I got this off
Ebay on 30
th June 09. It arrived today , 17
th July 09. I think the
shipping time is very reasonable. The
seller must have sent it out within 1day of my purchase. However, the seller did not reply to any of my emails. I left a comment that I wish to be informed of the date my item is
sent out so I can
gauge when to expect the item. And when to assume that the parcel is lost. But I did not get any reply whatsoever, I emailed the
seller 2 times and messaged him/her via
ebay 2 times.
Didn't get any reply too. It's good that At least i got my items safely. It just felt like I was purchasing from a machine , feels really insecure even though the seller has a high rating.

This thing is TINY. Really tiny. The box is about 5" x4.5" (
abt 11
cm x12.5cm)
Left to Right: Yeyo, 1999, Zero, Burbon, Stash
Price : 4 / 5 , USD16 each (full size) .
Liners from promotional travel size packs are about half that of a full size liner.
Quality: 4 / 5
Finish/Texture: These either have a satin matte finish or satin w/ shimmers. They are VERY creamy and goes on so easily and doesn't tug my eyelids at all. These also smudges very nicely to create a softer/smokey look. Having said that, it also means you have to sharpen or shape the tip of the pencils more frequently because the tip will go blunt easily. Personally , I don't mind my eyeliners being a bit blunt, if I wanted a thin and precise application I'll use a liquid or gel liner instead. If you are someone who likes you eyeliner pencils to have a nice sharp tip, then you will be very irritated with these.
Lasting Power: These lasts the longest on me. They are totally on par with; better in some ways; than my HG Indelible gel liners. It is even better because the "ZERO", black color eyeliner, stays on my waterline for the longest time. I only have to touch up the very outer corners even though it's not really very obvious. This is the only thing that stays on my waterline for a reasonable period of time. Even when I used my indelible gel liners, I had to touch up my waterline every time I check the mirror.
However, some colors lasts longer than others. Namely, the shimmery ones don't last as long as the satin matte ones. Bourbon seems to fade a little, and the shimmers will sort of"disperse" after a while.
Overall: These are high quality eyeliners that applies beautifully. Although they are not cheap, they aren't the most expensive eyeliners around either. I wanted to try them out because there are so many good reviews about them. I wouldn't say I cant live without them. I know that, I can find good enough (but not as good) dupes of these from drugstore brands. With the help of a good eyeshadow primer, it's easy to make eyeliners smudge proof and waterproof too. Then again, can you resist these when there are so much hype about them? I obviously couldn't!

**(please bare with the pictures becausei don't have my camera with me, so my phone's camera is extra lousy)**Product: Gel
EyeLiners (Refer to Coastalscents.com)Origin : CoastalSents.com ,
Ebay (i got them from ebay, you can leave a tag/email me if you want to know which seller i got mine from)Price: 5/5 ,
USD3.98 -
USD6.95
(depending where you get them from)Quality : 2 /5 (as a gel liner) ,
5/5 ( as CREAM Eyeshadow!)Color Selection: 4/5
Repurchase?: Definitely! i want to get more colors already. They quantity of each jar is way more than that of MAC/indelible/KATE/
maybelline gel liners
These worked wonderfully as cream shadows. However, they arent as waterproof as our KATE or M.A.D minerals's indelibel gel liners, Or MAC FluidLine. But if you dont rub your eye or tear up, they stay up fine.
Quality : First of all, these are all very pigmented. However I'd say the matte ones are more pigmented than the satin/shimmery colors. They did not crease of flake on my eyelids when i used them as cream shadows. Because of these, i did not need to use a primer at all because the colors were intense enough and they
didn't crease on their own anyway.
They
don't transfer onto clothes/my fingers. I have no idea why they
just didn't work as eyeliners for me because they really stay put as cream shadows.
Texture wise, these are very creamy and blends so easily. These are softer than MAC and indelible gel liners. They are somewhere, around the same softness as
maybelline gel liners if you have them. However i did notice that some tend to be softer than others. I guess this is what makes it cheap because consistency is not exactly great. But this
didn't affect the performance of the product so i
don't mind.

This is a very short post. A cotter up at
CozyCot forums was
writing about joining the Top and Bottom eyeliners naturally so that it does not look "catty" or cat-like and made up. I was bored at home so i decided to try it.
I started to draw the line from the middle of my lid working outwards. After that, I fill in my lashes from the inner corners to the middle to join it all up. In other words, I did not draw a line on top of my lashes for the inner half of my eye. I believe this is how some girls can achieve that "super thin" line. Just fill in your lashes instead of drawing a line on top of them.

I winged the ends a little but still kept it pretty close to the outer corner of my eye so it
doesn't look too dramatic. The little wing at the end really helps to give more live to the eyes if u compare it with the 2nd picture.

The picture is a bit blurred. :P Believe it or not, this one took me longer to draw than the first one with the winged-tip. I'm not used to drawing eyeliners without at least having a bit of a wing at the end.
These are
done with a Liquid eyeliner. I chose to use a liquid eyeliner because they give a lot of precision; and also because I think it's the kind of eyeliner that is the most difficult to apply. I thought if I can do it right with a liquid liner, I'd have no problems doing the same with a Gel or Pencil liner.
I did not line the bottom of my eyes all the way in because I
don't really like that kind of look. Feel free to draw yours
however you like! . I'm glad that I did this exercise as I never used to join up my liners but it turned out pretty well here. I'll
definitely draw my liner this way again. :)

View of my collection of gel-liners. To be honest i just started on these.
I only made 3 purchases. Got the indelible liners from MADminerals.com. I"ll probably not get around using them much. BUt looking at them makes me happy....
Thers a Kate's gel liner in plum color that i got in a make up swap event from cozycot.
The last is maybelline's new product, gel liners. Brown with gold shimmers. Its really quite nice.
I did a quick and short review at cozycot forums @
http://forums.cozycot.com/showpost.php?p=1645939&postcount=325So now i'll just duplicate it here.
IndelibleLiners
Pigmentation: 4 /5
(3/5 for shimmery ones)Application: 5/5
(really easy to control , smooth application)Price: 5/5
( i got them duing M.A.D minerals's 29% sale, so it was WAY worth it. Normally they are USD8.99 ea)Colour range : 4/5
Tidalwave:
medium blue. when applied Appears more as with sheen rather than glittersTanzanite:
deep plum with the same finish as tidal wave. REALLY REALLY similar to the Kate's liner in the picture.
Ivy League: Olive green with the same finish as the two abv. Quite a light color, so it probably works better on the lower lids. I already know i will use this a lot.Endangered:
this is a true MATTE forest green. its VERY green. i feel. dark enough to line my eyelids.marcasite:
medium grey with shimmer. has the same sheen when applied but also has very fine shimmer. This , for me, is toolight to apply to my upper lids. I prefer to have this on my lower lids and pair this up with magnetism or black out on my upper lids.Magnetism:
Almost black kind of dark grey. with golden shimmer. Applys like a soft black.BlackOut: a
matte black...its black black, Very pigmented. But not as pigmented as compared to the Coastal scents true black.CoastalScents gel liner (these smudges on me, not a fan of them )
Pigmentation: 5 /5
Application: 3.5/5
(This is very soft, sometiems i get too much product on my brush, i prefer the indelible liners' consistency)Price: 5/5
(only USD6.95? so theya re really cheap)Colour range : 3.5/5
( i'm only giving 3.5 because they dont have a lot of dark shades, BUT they do have over 10 colors, but its jsut me.)TruePink :
Hot pink, matte finish.TrueBlack :
a matte black. really pigmented. depending on how u apply, it can have a black pencil liner finish or a really solid liquid lienr kind of finish.
Kate's gel liner in deep plum: i got this from the used make up exchange organised by fellow cotters. So i dont know the exact name of the shade. I really like this. But it is the Same color as tanzanite. BUT more pigmented.Maybeline's gel liner in dark brown:Pigmentation: 5 /5
Application: 5/5 (really easy to control , smooth application)
Price: 3/5 ( compared to my indeloible liners and Coastal scents, This just doesn seem to inviting at SGD19.90 ea)
Colour range : 1/5 ( thes like only 2 shades, lol)Theres enough review abt this. BUT i have to add that the color and texture is really great. like the sheen also. good for my everyday use when i dont want to use black. Its really pigmented------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got my pigment samples too, which i put into jars already. but somehow that picture doesn show up. so i can only load this messy image with the pigments still in their baggies.. So i'll probably show them off when i make more additions.
i got them at. www.tkbtrading.com -----> this is a great site. they sell all the basic mineral make up ingredients, pigments and mica samples at a really low price.... the
samples are also very generous. fills a 20g jar, which is like 25-30% more than what u get for MAC samples. The quality is great, they seriously are worth more than the price of
USD1.50 for each sample... I"ll do swatches ,
probably sometime after
CNY and when i figure out how
exactly to use my new
cheena phone.
